The planning

The first part (September - January) of our trip is finally planned! While it has been in the works for months, we finally finalized all the flights, hotels and “must see” lists. I have lost count but believe we are in for 14 flights, 12 ferry rides and one lengthy bus trip. At least for the pre-planned journeys. I am sure there will be countless forms of unplanned transportation beyond our feet in the coming months but for what I could pre-book I did.

While the plan was to head west from San Francisco and continue west around the world, as the primary planner of this journey, I slipped one of my picks in first. I look at it as a perk of being the planner AND the added perk of extra frequent flyer miles being accumulated.

Bill and Zach will head to KY in September and then we will all meet up and head to my first pick: Boston/Cape Cod/Nantucket/Martha’s Vineyard.
