My love for Boston

Those of you who know me, know my love for Boston. I almost went to college in Boston, but turned down my acceptance at Boston University last minute and opted for UC Davis instead. We try and stop in Boston whenever we head to CH, and honestly, any other time as well. This east coast trip was no different. We split our stay between the Omni Parker House and Fairmont Copley Plaza, two of our favorite hotels. Copley Plaza really is our favorite because it is next to the Boston Public Library which is always on our list. The Omni makes Faneuil Hall, Boston Common and the Freedom Trail a bit more convenient though so we usually opt for a short stay there as well. Years ago when we moved to Switzerland, we stopped in Boston and Melina did a video history report for her 3rd grade class as part of her assignment. This trip, Zach did one for his 4th grade project. So much history, so many options on what to include. Zach mostly focused on the midnight ride and the Boston Tea Party.

At the Fairmont, Zach met Cory and it was love at first sight. Zach has wanted a dog since he was old enough to know what one was. He spent every moment he had with Cory—-telling others guests about her, the history, sort of standing as the Cory caretaker in the lobby. He walked her all over the hotel and around the block (with an adult). Not sure how we are going to get him to leave. Another stay will be planned for sure.
